More About Me…
Hi, I’m Lauren, a Product Designer & Developer.
I’ve spent the last decade working in-house across different brands, taking ideas (sometimes fully formed, sometimes barely there) and turning them into real, wearable products.
I enjoy working through the messy stages — refining, sourcing, and figuring out how to make something actually work.
A lot of my experience comes from working directly with factories and suppliers, so I naturally think about both sides at once — how something looks, and how it’s actually going to be made.
I care just as much about the behind-the-scenes (materials, construction, timelines) as I do about the final result.
Outside of work, I’m usually hand-embroidering one-off pieces, digging through thrift stores, or saving way too many cafés and hidden spots on Google Maps.
My profile photo is pretty accurate — iced coffee in hand, taking too many reference photos <3

Lauren and I worked together at Fluevog for nearly seven years, where I had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of footwear design alongside her. She's a driven, organized, and proactive designer with an amazing instinct for pop culture, trends, and fashion-something that consistently shaped her strong design sensibility. I consider myself very lucky to have been able to collaborate alongside her throughout my career thus far.
Lauren has a rare ability to balance her own taste with emerging trends while staying deeply true to Fluevog's brand DNA, resulting in countless top-performing designs season after season. Beyond design, she also led material sourcing and international research trips, many of which I was fortunate to experience with her.
Lauren's impact on the success of the women's footwear assortment was significant, and her multidisciplinary approach extended seamlessly into designing socks, bags, and special projects across the collection. Her unique eye for design, razor-sharp attention to detail, and ability to deliver under tight deadlines make her an invaluable addition to any creative team or project.

I had the pleasure of working with Lauren at Native Shoes. She is an incredible designer and developer and her attention to detail is second to none. Her ability to provide development solutions was incredible. Allowing the design to maintain the desired aesthetic but develop to a target to maximize margin and production efficiency. She showed great leadership skills while managing her projects and providing assistance and insight to her team if and when needed and requested. I would highly recommend Lauren for any leadership development role, and would welcome the opportunity to work with her again.

Throughout my time working with Lauren Kemp for the John Fluevog brand, she consistently demonstrated professional competence, ease in presenting new activities and ideas, and in transferring her knowledge to our company.
I must recommend her and reaffirm our understanding that some of her greatest qualities are: competence, honesty, capability, and integrity, in addition to being an excellent designer.
It was a pleasure working with Lauren Kemp and, at the same time, a challenge, as the rigor of the work required also led us to constantly learn something new and always seek new products and ways to approach innovative projects.
Furthermore, I was always impressed by her proactive attitude, which proved essential for the successful completion of our projects.

I have had the pleasure of working alongside Lauren Kemp at John Fluevog Shoes from 2017 to
2025. While Lauren did not report directly to me, her role as a Shoes and Accessories Designer/Developer had a direct and measurable impact on the success of our supply chain and buying operations.
As Head of Buying and Chief Supply Chain Officer, I saw firsthand how critical her work was to product quality, production flow, and on-time delivery. I also had the opportunity to travel with Lauren to several overseas factories, where I observed her interactions with production teams. She combines creative vision with strong technical command. Her specifications were consistently clear, her follow-through with factories was disciplined, and her deep understanding of materials and construction translated into fewer production issues and stronger final product integrity.
In a vertical retail organization like ours where design, development, sourcing, and delivery must operate in close coordination, Lauren was a true cross-functional partner. She understands timelines, works within cost frameworks, and collaborates constructively to resolve challenges before they escalate.
Beyond her technical strengths, Lauren brings professionalism, accountability, and calm problem-solving to every project. She cares deeply about the product and the brand, and it shows in the consistency and reliability of her output.
Any organization looking for a designer-developer who understands both creativity and operational realities would be fortunate to work with her.
