Fluevog Accessories Design & Development
Alongside footwear, I led the design and development of the accessories program at John Fluevog from 2019–2025, working across categories including small leather goods, scarves, hats, socks, and collectible accessories.
The role focused on translating the materials, graphics, and storytelling of the footwear collections into a cohesive accessory range, extending the brand’s visual language into new formats while maintaining consistency across categories, scales, and price points.
Working across both design and development, I was involved in concept direction, material selection, supplier sourcing, and production execution, ensuring each piece balanced creativity with functionality and quality.
Accessories became a key vehicle for expanding seasonal narratives, allowing for more experimentation in graphics, colour, and materiality, while still grounding each product in the broader Fluevog identity.
In the first four years of leading the program, the category grew by 129%, evolving into a strong and consistent extension of the overall collection.
Small Leather Goods
Shoe Detail Reference
From shoe design detailing to playful cartoon mascot motifs, I translated key themes into a cohesive range of small leather goods, including cardholders and wallets.
The designs incorporated elements such as leather appliqués, stitching designs, material contrasts, and hardware drawn directly from the footwear, allowing each piece to feel connected while still standing on its own.
Developed for men’s, women’s, and unisex styling, the range combined durability and function with Fluevogs distinct visual identity, reinforcing the brand’s character at a smaller scale.
PRODUCT RANGE
Scarves
Scarves emerged as a natural extension of the accessories program, aligning with the brand’s clientele and storytelling approach.
I sourced a supplier for high-quality silk digital printing and led the design and development of the category, launching with the Wool Silk Floral Blanket Scarf and Silk Satin Floral Bandana—both expanding on Fluevog’s signature graphic language.
Following a strong initial response, the range grew to include additional formats such as tie scarves and bandanas, while also expanding into new materials and finishes, including jacquard wovens and fringe hem details.
Working across both design and development, I ensured each piece integrated seamlessly with the seasonal footwear collections, while also overseeing packaging and coordinating with logistics and factory partners through production.
Unique Headwear
I led the expansion of Fluevog’s accessories program into headwear, developing bucket hats and five-panel caps with a local factory using materials pulled directly from the seasonal collections.
After the initial launch proved successful, I worked on expanding the category with new materials and design details.
I sourced a supplier for knitted toques and beanies, further building out the headwear offering within the Fluevog universe.
